‘Deadpool’ actress Gina Carano joins ‘Jay and Silent Bob’ actor Jason Mewes in film that is new

This is a partnership. MMA star-turned-actress Gina Carano is joining Jay himself in Madness in the Method.

Here at Hypable we’re pretty big fans of Kevin Smith, and that love goes alike to Jason Mewes, one half of the Jay and Silent Bob comedy genius duo.

In accordance with The Hollywood Reporter, Angel Dust has been continuing her acting career by teaming up with Mewes to his newest movie, where he will star himself.

Of the movie, THR says it’s a “meta movie,” in which “the story is a dark comedy that tells of a celebrity named Jason Mewes attempting to resurrect himself in Hollywood.”

If you’ve ever seen Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, you will know Mewes isn’t a stranger to working with meta theories. He also co-wrote that the Madness script together with Chris Anastasi along with Dominic Burns, and is creating the movie too.

Carano has found herself in a few significant action films in years past including Fast and the Furious 6 as well as the above Deadpool, however Madness in the Method will watch her playing Mewes’ spouse, which might give her more space to show off her dramatic and/or comedic abilities.

Kevin Smith will of course be making an appearance, as would Teri Hatcher, best known as Lois Lane from Lois & Clark.

In this case, we hope life imitates art and Mewes has got a chance to flaunt his Madness in the Method and reinvent the real him in Hollywood.
