Arjuna Ranatunga disgusted with Sri Lankan cricket, does not observe team drama

Former World Cup winning Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga stated cricketers and cricket mates have been more concerned about earnings, foreign trips and perks instead of devotion of winning to the nation.

Even the 1996 World Cup skipper Arjuna Ranatunga is now ‘so disgusted’ in how the Sri Lankan cricket is administered that he’s ceased watching the national group cricket.

“Sri Lanka Cricket and the manner in which it is being administered and managed is so disgusting that I do not watch our national cricket anymore,” Ranatunga was quoted as saying ‘Ceylon Today’.

Ranatunga stated he preferred viewing the recent England-South Africa Test series, which England is currently leading 2-1 using the Test scheduled to start from August 4.

Ranatunga, who played 93 Tests scoring 5,105 conducts, along with 269 ODIs amassing 7,456 conducts, stated cricketers and cricket administrators were far concerned about foreign trips earnings and advantages instead of of winning the nation, dedication.
