The National Cricket Academy (NCA) has undertaken an initiative to conduct a refresher course for the existing accredited coaches of the BCCI together with Cricket Australia.

“In pursuance of this objective, the BCCI and CA have surfaced to run this course and CA was gracious enough to readily accept and depute their school to run the Level 2 coaching courses in the NCA from March 21 to April 1, 2017,” the BCCI stated in a release on Tuesday.

“During this phase 2 batches of 25 coaches each will participate and movements are thought to have these classes in batches, so to re-certify all the BCCI qualified coaches.”

The first batch has 25 women coaches attending the program along with the next batch has 25 men coaches participating in this program.

“The opening session of this program detailed the approach and methodology in coaching, which has witnessed a paradigm change, and this proves the initiative to upgrade the coaches about the modern techniques, is a move in the perfect direction.

“The program of this course will stress on the value of exchanging information and expanding the knowledge base by means of multiple interactions with the coaches,” the Board stated in the launch.

The BCCI is convinced that the coaches will profit hugely from this program, aside from gaining additional insights about the most recent methods in coaching.

“A range of these initiatives are being phased out in the future, whereas BCCI and CA will work toward a frequent goal where leading cricketing countries can unite their intellectual abilities and contribute to the evolution of the game,” the release stated.
