Cricket Australia Interrupts Tens of thousands of scalped Ashes tickets
Cricket Australia have recovered tickets of the next Ashes Test against England.
(Reuters photo)Cricket Australia (CA) has recovered tens of thousands of scalped tickets for the next Ashes Test against England at Perth, the governing body said on Wednesday.
The 2,890 tickets have been “recognized as connected to scalped tickets being sold at a premium” on online market place eBay, CA said in a statement.
The tickets for the December 14-18 Test at the WACA will go back on sale on August 28.
Even the five-Test Ashes series against present holders England is one of Australia’s most well-attended sporting occasions. The first Test begins in Brisbane.
