Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente spanned two medical office buildings in Santa Rosa, Calif., and Rohnert Park, Calif., following wildfires that broke away across Northern California last week. However, the area hospital — Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center — remains closed, reports.

Officials reopened the office buildings at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday after wildfires engulfed neighboring places. The medical office building in Santa Rosa will offer services, family medicine and care. The Rohnert Park medical professional construction will offer care and walk in appointments. The main pharmacies at both locations will reopen Tuesday.

More than 100 Kaiser workers, including nurses and physicians, dropped their homes according to the report. Kaiser officials assisted staff by transferring them into the health system’s other Northern California locations in Rohnert Park and San Rafael, Calif., therefore they could focus on providing care to individuals rather than on which they dropped.

“It feels good to be back into my regular construction,” Kelly Bastoni, MD, a family medicine doctor who works in the Santa Rosa office construction, advised  The Press Democrat. “There’s something about [the facility] was so close to the fire however having lived. It seems just like a resilient location.”

A date has not been slated by Kaiser officials. The neighboring Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital disclosed plans to reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday. The facility will offer complete inpatient and emergency care, together with elective procedures to restart “at a later date,” based on the report.
