Villages Independence Festival planned

“The Villages Independence Festival was designed to offer an chance for those citizens of their Memorial Cabinets to celebrate July 4th in a family-friendly way,” Susan Schwartz, Bunker Hill City Councilmember and festival secretary, said. Parade participants include cars and floats from Piney Point Village, Bunker Hill Village, Hunters Creek Village, Hedwig Village, Spring Valley plus Hilshire Village. Activities include rides games, a picture booth, slime system , bucking bull, stone wall, food and drinks. Branded (rock group) Ever since parking is restricted in the area, a shuttle service to the main festival website will run from Memorial Senior High School and in the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church (MDPC) parking lots on the Blalock side. The festival concludes at 1 p.m. when the big ladder truck in the Villages Fire Department pushes water in the very top of its fully extended ladder over the youngsters, who collect in the middle of those grounds.
