Ice Cube To Star In New “Friday” Film According To Co-Star John Witherspoon

Orlando, FL — though it’s been 15 years since Friday After Next, it looks like Ice Cube has signed to the next installment from the Friday movie series, according to his co-star. John Witherspoon, who played with Cube’s dad, Mr. Jones, at both the original 1995 version of this movie and aforementioned sequel, had been a guest on The Electricity 95.3 GetUpCrew  at Orlando when he fell the information.   While on air, Witherspoon mentioned he’d talked to Cube and that the project had received the “green light.”

While details are scarce, the movie is at its infancy stages before it actually hits the theatres, and it may be quite a while. After the monumental success of 2015’s Straight Outta Compton, Cube’s plate is full.   He is currently juggling several diverse endeavors, such as his BIG3 basketball league, VH1’s Hip-Hop Squares and innumerable late night chat show appearances.
