Pakistan Cricket Board sends legal notice to BCCI for not honouring MOU : Cricket, News

Highlights

  • Pakistan Cricket Board sends a lawful notice to the BCCI.

  • PCB claims it’s lost between USD 200 and 300 million because of India’s refusal to perform.

  • PCB is presently seeking compensation from the BCCI.

An official source in the PCB confirmed to PTI the notice was dispatched on Wednesday.

The MOU, signed in 2014, was a part of a deal between both boards under which Pakistan affirmed the Big Three governance and fiscal model in the ICC. The source stated that in the legal notice Pakistan had pointed out the BCCI did not honour the MOU despite it had been signed in the presence of the ICC officials.

The PCB claims it’s lost between USD 200 and 300 million because of India’s refusal to perform the show that Pakistan was supposed to sponsor.

“We were even prepared to sponsor our string at neutral venues as part of their deal but even after the BCCI kept on stalling us and then finally refused,” the source stated.

The PCB will finally decide its next course of action prior to having an official response from the BCCI.

The BCCI has repeatedly turned down offers in the PCB for endothelial matches on the grounds it’s not being given settlement by its administration because of tense relations between the 2 nations. The PCB informally told the BCCI representatives at the recent ICC meeting of its decision to start legal proceedings against them to claim damages for the MOU not yet been honoured.
